Huarong Kechuang Biotechnology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. recently announced that its independently developed revolutionary product, the "degradable magnesium alloy bone screw," has officially commenced clinical trials and successfully completed the first patient enrollment.
The clinical trial kick-off meeting for the degradable magnesium alloy bone screw was held at Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital (now the National Orthopedic Clinical Trial Center), Beijing Tongren Hospital, and Peking University Third Hospital. Experts at the meeting stated that the product not only meets the mechanical performance requirements of orthopedic internal fixation devices but also promotes new bone cell formation, achieving complete degradation after fracture healing, demonstrating significant clinical application value.
The first enrolled patient underwent surgery at Beijing Tongren Hospital.
